WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

San Luis Obispo, a small college town in between San Francisco and L.A. I regularly capture couples who met at Cal Poly and want to return to the Central Coast to have a destination wedding. There are so many gorgeous winery and ranch wedding venues all within 30 miles of my home. I'm so thankful to live in the heart of California where love stories unfold all around me.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

I travel anywhere someone will have me! My home turf includes Monterey County, Carmel Valley, and Santa Barbara. Because I have a batch of kids and a smoking hot wife at home means I limit my travel weddings to only a few each year.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PRICING?

I keep it easy. I book hourly starting at 7 hours and up to 10. Included are the full resolution digital files and lots of them. Each image is edited with love and delivered digitally on a gorgeous password protected online gallery. Engagement sessions are complimentary for 8hr packages. Smiles, corny jokes and hugs are always included!

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU SHOOT A YEAR?

I photograph anywhere between 12-21 weddings a year. My busiest season is April - October. Because I love capturing weddings more than most anything I'm always excited to book off season or non-Saturday weddings.

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?

Real life wedding photography. My photos tell the authentic love story of each couple I encounter. Because I'm a people person I'm more about the emotions and moments than about the technical rules and the gear. I've always invested my passion and energy into relationships. My easy going nature causes couples to relax in front of my lens allows me to capture the invisible love they share through their body language and facial expression. I give permission for people to be their best selves and be in the moment.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR GEAR!

I've been shooting on Canon equipment since I was 19. My team uses the latest in digital cameras and prime lenses to capture photos and video. Currently we are loving the new Canon 5DMIVs and the 6DMIIs. I also have a selection of film cameras and super 8 that I can selectively shoot with upon request for film lovers!

HOW DO YOU CAPTURE PHOTO AND VIDEO?

I loved the idea of making movies back when I became a photographer but couldn't invest in another medium at the same time as building my photography business. When the latest Canon 5D IV offered video as an option I learned how to shoot motion simultaneously in between portraits and stills. It was 10 years into my photography business so it inspired and challenged me to look at weddings in a different form. Adding motion, music, and audio recordings together is like viewing the day through different facets of a diamond. Every turn shows a fresh emotion and moment! We have a tight team of three when we capture video so no moments or details are overlooked and we can be in a few places at once. Another advantage to having a trio-team document both photo and video is that the couple and their guests are less surrounded by a large camera crew and end up being more natural and present in the moment.
