Lizzy & Daniel (Hot Springs, Virginia)
Daniel McQuade is a West Virginia photographer who connected with me years ago via facebook. He said he loved my work and was inspired by my style when he was just starting out. Years later he flew me out to Hot Springs Virginia to shoot his wedding at Garth Newell Music Center. What an honor to be a photographer's photographer! Since this was a destination wedding for family and friends they all (me included) stayed in the big white house, playing games fireside late into the night. We spent the rehearsal day picnicking and jet skiing at Lake Moomaw. The wedding ceremony took place on a grassy knoll just behind the great house. Since we didn't get engagement pictures we did a little "day after shoot" on the Lake and captured some amazing moments on the boat and an island! I even spotted a bald eagle and got a shot before it flew out of range. I got crafty for this wedding and added a little bit to what I normally do. I brought the Contax 645 and snapped some breath taking film shots for an icing on the cake photo feel. I also filmed motion clips and edited a music highlight video. Did I mention I make movies now?! Yea-yeah... woot! Please load the video, enjoy the photos, and return to watch it in HD; it'll be worth it! p.s. My amazingly talented friend Josh Cody made the music for this video; totally epic! I loved being a part of this couple's wedding weekend and felt more like an old friend by the time I flew home.

Cameron, your photos are simply stunning! Seriously, this wedding has to be one of my favourites I’ve seen ever in terms of colours, dress, feel, location, and of course, photos! WOW!
