Denton & Sadye!

Sadye just stopped by to pick up her engagement pictures while Denton is in Big Sur having his bachelor party. I am just as excited about how these pictures came out as I am about getting to know these awesome new friends! I shot these pictures a couple of weeks ago on a cloudy afternoon roaming about San Luis. We first hit up an old warehouse a block away from my print lab, Digital Precision Imaging (love them!) ...Then we meandered over to High St. Deli. Upon our journey over to the deli, an amazing spiderly limbed tree in a grass field caught my eye. We pulled over and jumped out of the car to get a couple of shots under this tree. A man yelled at us for standing in the field he was about to mow so we skee-daddled over to the deli, laughing about how grumpy some people can be. Once at the deli, the magic moments started flowing like honey from heaven.

Denton & Sadye just lit up in front of the camera; thoroughly enjoying themselves and each other.

Sadye described it as being completely confident in who she is with Denton and in front of the camera. She was determined to not back down, but to completely be herself and not apologize. I really think she should give a seminar or something for Brides-to-be. It can be such a foreign thing to have a guy shove a camera in your face then to act natural and kiss your fiance and play all cute and lovey. But when you let love and life take over you are bound to get images that reflect the soul. Images like these........

Denton & Sadye are getting married in just 2 short weeks! I can't wait for the wedding. Their personalities, creativity, and love for one another are going to make it such an amazing day. I am honored to be able to capture their memories...

Cameron,
I enjoyed the tour of your life's work. You've truly found your calling. But I must say one thing. It is really hard to read the copy on your homepage in front of those yellow flowers. The story behind the words is beautiful...just needs to be a little easier on the eyes. Just concerned.
